New generation journalists are leading the charge to revitalize local media coverage and to reduce the threat to the democratic process. Our aim is to obtain unprecedented resources to build on proven strategies, as well as eradicating long-standing inequities within coverage of journalism and practices.

Recent graduates and students recently inaugurated an Austin Harvest produce market at the permanent location this week. The market brings artistic and social interaction to an area once known for its gun violence. The WBEZ's Jackie Kostek visited to speak to the founders of the market who outlined their purpose as more than providing food, but rather creating an atmosphere that is more welcoming one of their goals.
