Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs and builds, as well as distributes a complete range of low-floor and high-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, greenpower Scooter (metooo.Es) buses for cargo and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that offers a lot of customisation. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy- and medium-duty electric vehicles, which include high-floor and lower-floor models. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it can be customized to suit a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clear paper sheet, which allows for optimum placement of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This leads to better range/payload ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks' one interior wall structure and a higher insulation level than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a top payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it to be easy to drive, and comfortable to drive long distances. The ride is smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is extremely quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 has a wide range and can be recharged in three hours or less at home, or greenpower mobility using any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the green power mobility as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide a unique experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA certified. This means that they are eligible for federal transit assistance grants.
