Ghost connects to your CAN data network and uses the buttons in your vehicle (steering wheel and centre console as well as door panels) to create an individual push sequence that needs to be completed before the engine can start.

This will activate the anti-hijack mode and once active, any attempt to start the engine will be immediately stopped. The system will sharpen the horn, flash the indicators and stop the vehicle if the code is not found. The Anti-Hijack feature is removed by entering your push sequence, or by entering service mode which allows your car to begin and drive, without having to enter your PIN.

If you have a GPS device that is connected to your BMW it is possible to use it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is stationary.
