The i3+ doesn't have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top rated robot vacuum-rated robots we have test. It could get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to charge.

It could pick up all kinds of debris and sizes in our tests and would often go over the same area many times for an efficient clean.
