WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrading by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrading upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item level upgrade when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item upgrader mod and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
