If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best robot vacuum for tile floors option is probably hybrid. The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for most people however it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price tag.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models for considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just snap on one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space for it to move around however.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is less expensive and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material like cereal.
