The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even over raised thresholds without any problems. However, it had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.

The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this can vary based on how much you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply moving the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed.

This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a range of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with strong suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well by avoiding pet hairs as well as other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that extend along baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to the next without having to reverse direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide margin around obstacles. This can result in missing spots.

The interface of the app is easy to use and streamlined. It should be simple to use by both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, change the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from any location. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. You will require a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are excellent at picking up dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach all dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dust, dirt and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot. The K10 Plus also is able to collect more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as frequently. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction if necessary. You can also mark areas you would like the robot to avoid using the app.
