World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrader mod Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance an item with the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Leveling

These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade an item, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced with the same item upgrade, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest.
