World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3percent of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item level upgrade. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item upgrader kit (Idea.informer.Com) must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrades also has its own bonus.
