The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item you are in awe of it.

The majority of upgrade components inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been incorporated into your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.
