It can get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include putting away any clutter or toys it may encounter. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning from where it began. Battery life is about an hour-and-a-half of continuous usage. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the latest features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it has an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any self-cleaning robot vacuums vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. This doesn't mean that this model isn't a good choice: It's lighter and maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly superior on carpets with a low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694
